Role-Product Owner Legal
Location- Los Angeles, CA- Onsite from Day 1
Rights management is a mandatory requirement.


Lead the implementation and ongoing stewardship of a rights and contract management system for Apple TV's Legal department.


This Product Owner role focuses on managing complex intellectual property rights, restrictions, and contract data while serving as the primary liaison between Legal stakeholders and the development team.


Required Qualifications
3-5+ years in Product Owner, Project Manager, or Senior Business Analyst role


3+ years hands-on experience with Agile development teams


3+ years collaborating with designers and engineers


5+ years enterprise software custom design, development, implementation, and deployment


5-7+ years leading cross-functional teams in IP rights analysis and contract review
5+ years hands-on experience with rights attributes (Rights In/Out, Restrictions, Options, Holdbacks, Music Clearance, Play Off/Sell Off data)
3+ years developing/implementing rights or licensing systems with complex rights research capabilities


Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills


Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in fast-paced environments


Experience with system integrations, data conversions, and reporting


Key Responsibilities
Convert business requirements into features and user stories; represent customer needs on the Scrum team


Manage product backlog prioritization based on business value; adjust features every sprint as needed


Decide on release dates and coordinate deployment of new systems and feature extensions
