Software Development Engineer II – Frontend (Full-Stack)

About the Opportunity:

This is a frontend-leaning full-stack role with approximately 60% frontend and 40% backend work for a Software Development Engineer II level candidate who enjoys building user-facing experiences while contributing across the stack. The organization develops technology solutions for healthcare providers to help patients recover faster and reduce the overall cost of care. The role involves collaborating within a growing Educate team to drive outcomes for patients, clinicians, and healthcare organizations by championing strong engineering culture and best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Build and ship user-facing experiences in the web application, partnering with Product and Design to deliver polished workflows.

• Own frontend implementation details including component design, state management, routing, forms, error states, and maintainable patterns.

• Contribute to the evolution of a reusable component library and design system with documentation and shared components.

• Ensure features are fast, accessible, reliable, and perform well across browsers.

• Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews to improve team quality and consistency.

• Collaborate with backend engineers on API contracts and integrations; contribute to backend services as needed.

• Support delivery of product features incorporating AI-powered capabilities under senior guidance.

• Participate in technical discussions, share knowledge, and help improve engineering practices.

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of professional software engineering experience with SaaS and web applications.

• Strong experience building production-quality UIs using JavaScript/TypeScript and a modern framework (Angular preferred; React/Vue experience acceptable with willingness to learn Angular).
