This is a frontend-leaning full-stack role with approximately 60% frontend and 40% backend work for a Software Development Engineer II level candidate who enjoys building user-facing experiences while contributing across the stack. The role involves collaborating within a growing Educate team to drive outcomes for patients, clinicians, and healthcare organizations by championing strong engineering culture and best practices.
Responsibilities:
• Build and ship user-facing experiences in the web application, partnering with Product and Design to deliver polished workflows.
• Own frontend implementation details including component design, state management, routing, forms, error states, and maintainable patterns.
• Contribute to the evolution of a reusable component library and design system with documentation and shared components.
• Ensure features are fast, accessible, reliable, and perform well across browsers.
• Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews to improve team quality and consistency.
• Collaborate with backend engineers on API contracts and integrations; contribute to backend services as needed.
• Support delivery of product features incorporating AI-powered capabilities under senior guidance.
• Participate in technical discussions, share knowledge, and help improve engineering practices.
Requirements:
• 2-4 years of professional software engineering experience with SaaS and web applications.
• Strong experience building production-quality UIs using JavaScript/TypeScript and a modern framework (Angular preferred; React/Vue experience acceptable with willingness to learn Angular).
