Proofpoint is looking for an Intern - Software Engineer to join Data Security Platform Engineering team. Our team is dynamic, fluid, and collaborative. We look for team-players who enjoy solving complex technical challenges and have an appetite to work with and adopt new and innovative technologies.

Please note - Start date will be June 2026 - Full time during summer

Desired skillset:

Knowledge/experience with any of the following: NodeJS, Python, Java, Golang

Strong knowledge of NoSQL and/or SQL database technologies such as: Postgres, DynamoDB, GraphDB

Cloud computing experience (AWS, GCP, Azure, or similar).

Familiarity with machine learning techniques, such as neural networks and decision trees

Have an appetite and ability to pick up new technologies quickly.
