Etsy is looking for an experienced Senior Research Operations Manager to join our Research team as a 6-month leave coverage contractor.


As a Senior Research Ops Manager (M4), you will provide leadership and continuity for our Research Operations function during a period of planned parental leave. You will focus on people management, operational oversight, and advocacy for Research Operations, while working closely with the Research Operations team and research leadership (directors) to steward Etsy’s existing Research Ops practice.


This is a fixed-term, full-time contractor role focused on maintaining operational health, supporting teams, and ensuring research can continue effectively throughout the coverage period.

What does the day-to-day look like?

• Lead and support a team of research coordinators and research program managers, providing coaching, prioritization support, and performance guidance
• Partner closely with the Research Operations team to maintain and steward Etsy’s existing Research Operations practice
• Ensure continuity and smooth execution of Research Ops programs, processes, and workflows as the research team transitions to be part of a broader UX function
• Act as a point of escalation for operational challenges, resourcing questions, and cross-functional dependencies
