Senior Software Engineer (Node.js)

Scrape Creators is a fast-growing social media scraping API company. We are currently a small team and you would be engineer #2.

We move fast. We ship fast. We break things sometimes. We fix them faster.

If you need bureaucracy, Jira tickets for every breath, and five layers of approval… this isn’t for you.

What You’ll Do

• Build and maintain high-performance scraping systems (primarily API reverse engineering, not browser automation)
• Work heavily in Node.js / JavaScript
• Debug production issues quickly and independently
• Monitor systems and ensure uptime (you’ll be in a different time zone from the founder)
• Optimize reliability, performance, and scalability
• Ship features directly to production

Ideal Background

• Strong Node.js / backend engineering experience
• Experience scraping or reverse engineering APIs (a strong plus)
• Comfortable working with minimal oversight
• Clear communicator (async-first environment)
• Self-directed and decisive
• Comfortable with ambiguity
• Familiar with AI tooling to accelerate development
• No Puppeteer/Selenium experience required; API reverse engineering is preferred
