Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Program Leadership: Direct the planning and execution of enterprise-level projects, including new product development, system consolidations, and operational efficiency drives.
- Cross-Functional Orchestration: Serve as the central point of contact between Actuarial, Underwriting, Legal, Finance, and IT to ensure seamless integration of insurance logic into technical solutions.
- Strategic Risk Management: Identify potential bottlenecks in the insurance value chain—from application and suitability checks to claims and payouts—implementing mitigation strategies early.
- Budget & Resource Stewardship: Manage significant capital allocations, ensuring projects remain within fiscal guardrails while meeting aggressive market-entry timelines.
- Governance & Reporting: Provide executive-level reporting on program health, utilizing data-driven insights to influence decision-making at the C-suite level.
Domain Expertise
- Product Depth: Comprehensive knowledge of Life Insurance (Term, Permanent, Variable) and Annuity structures (Fixed, Indexed, Variable, and Deferred).
- Process Knowledge: Deep understanding of the insurance lifecycle, including new business acquisition, policy issuance, in-force management, and reinsurance
Qualifications
- Experience: 15+ years of dedicated Project/Program Management experience specifically within the Life and Annuities sector.
- Certifications: PMP or equivalent project management certification is required. Professional insurance designations (e.g., FLMI, CLU) are a significant advantage.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead large, diverse teams in a matrixed environment.
- Adaptability: Proficiency in managing projects under various delivery frameworks (Waterfall, Agile, or Hybrid) depending on the business need.
