Hyra is working on behalf of MassMutual to hire for the position of Lead AI Engineer. This role involves leading the design and deployment of advanced AI solutions, including generative AI and large language models, to drive business transformation. You will collaborate with a cross-functional team of experts to solve complex problems and shape the future of the enterprise.

What you'll be doing

• Architect and lead end-to-end ML/AI solutions from ideation to production.

• Deploy scalable GenAI and Agentic AI systems that support business goals.

• Establish best practices in AI development and responsible AI deployment.

• Build robust, production-grade AI pipelines and APIs with engineering teams.

• Mentor junior talent while aligning AI initiatives with enterprise strategy.

What we're looking for

• 7+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or AI engineering.

• M.S. or Ph.D. in a quantitative field such as Computer Science or Physics.

• Expertise in Python, LLMs, NLP, and AI orchestration frameworks like MLflow.

• Experience testing LLM behavior across various foundation models and benchmarks.

• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
