Hyra is working on behalf of MassMutual to hire for the position of Data Science Software Engineer. This role focuses on building the systems, infrastructure, and applications that support Data Science and AI initiatives across the enterprise. You will work within the Research & Development organization to influence technical strategies and operationalize data solutions.

What you'll be doing

• Build systems, infrastructure, and pipelines to support enterprise AI initiatives.

• Design and implement reusable software libraries and components for efficiency.

• Lead technical strategies for data ingestion, cloud design, and observability.

• Implement infrastructure-as-code to ensure platform scalability and reliability.

• Monitor and remediate software vulnerabilities to maintain security standards.

What we're looking for

• 7+ years of experience building complex software systems and backend services.

• 7+ years of professional software development experience using Python.

• 5+ years of experience with AWS cloud services including EKS, EC2, and Lambda.

• Proven ability to provide technical leadership for large-scale engineering initiatives.

• Strong collaboration skills to partner with AI Engineers and Product Managers.
